Did I really think I could do well without dedicating the 15hrs/week required to succeed? No, I was almost certain I would be terrible, and I didn’t want to do it. What I wanted was to be part of the team. That’s what I missed. Long nights on the diving bus, three-hour practices full of arguing and horseplay, swimmer breakfasts, the “good jobs” after a meet. I might have overreacted to the Jlab140 situation. I’m still not sure why we had to change, but the changes aren’t as drastic as I originally thought. I’m not saying Judson won me over with his JigglyPuff like coaxing skills, but I’m not as fuming mad as I was before. I’m still unchanged in many sentiments. But, I’ll live.
